Laundry day

It's laundry day, a day I both love and loath ... especially since I made a realization recently about the status of my laundry basket and the status of my emotional health. Whenever I get to the 'I'm wearing the last pair of clean pants I own' stage - something's up.

Case in point, today I got up and went searching around the many piles of clothes that live on my floor in various stages of cleanliness ... you've got the totally clean pile, the slighty clean pile (by slightly clean I mean that most of the grease smudges are in inconspicuous places and therfore I can get away with one more go) and the not so clean pile - aka totally covered in bike grease and grime. So there I am, kicking piles around and it dawns on me - nothing, except the new jeans I just acquired in a clothing swap with friends the night before are clean ... crap .... and then it hits me, not only are my clothes all soiled but so is my disposition ... and the sun's jsut come back to us! Would a trip around the lake fix me up? An iced americano? Maybe some cookies ....
